Associate Professor in Applied Sciences

What area does your research focus on?

My research is divided into two main areas; Scientific research to develop novel drugs for cancer therapy and pedagogical research looking at inclusive approaches to teaching through working with students as partners.  

What are the other key aspects of your role?

I am the curriculum lead for the decolonising network and also a member of the race consultative group at Northumbria. I have developed antiracist curriculum workshops for QAA Scotland and EDI staff development sessions for the Open University.  

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy travelling with my husband and two children.
