What area does your research focus on?
I research modern and contemporary literature (Irish Studies, Neo-Victorianism) and subcultures. My most recent work is based in death studies.
What are the other key aspects of your role?
I’m the Deputy Head of the Dept of Humanities (until January 2024). I’m also our departmental Athena Swan Chair. I’ve supervised BA, MA and PhD students, acted as an external and internal examiner for PhDs, and delivered taught modules from Foundation Year through to postgraduate.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like films, reading, music, playing with my cats, baking, and the gym.
